 Chaminade High School Virtual Tour

Description

Due to COVID, students interested in Chaminade High School could no longer visit the school and experience it in person. So, during the summer of 2020, I led the project to develop a virtual tour for the school.

After being approached about the project, I immediately started doing research and found the necessary programs and software to complete the project.

After months of work, help from some other classmates, and going through many tutorials, the tour was completed before the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.

What I Did

  • Researched different pieces of software that were available and chose 3dvista, a program that allows users to create a virtual tour but still gives them complete control of how the tour will look.

  • Took photos using the RICOH THETA 360. A camera to get high-quality 360 images.

  • Used Adobe Lightroom Classic to stitch and color the images I took.

  • Made small touch-ups and adjustments in Adobe Photoshop.

Description

An app for a club? Yes! For the past few years, Element has been producing great content but there were always a few things holding us back: communication, transparency, training. Our new app addresses all these issues.

Communication: On the home screen, members can see the recent announcements for the club and are notified when new ones are created.

Project Section: Lists all current projects going on at once so none are forgotten about. Within the project, members can see the due date, the person leading the project, and any notes associated with the project.

Training: Getting new members up to speed to help with video production is a big priority. To help with this, there’s the inventory list screen which tells members the equipment we have and gives a brief description of the product. New members can also navigate to the courses tab and learn how to use all the equipment we have available

The app is distributed through Apple School Manager so it is only available to download on a student’s iPad.

What I Did

  • Co - Designed app with other students using Figma Design

  • Programmed app using Xcode, Swift, and SwiftUI

Description

Each year Element Project works hard to produce many video projects, short films, and other pieces of media. However, there was no place where all of our work was hosted and easy to navigate. Additionally, the club needed a place for officers to show off their work.

What I Did

  • Created entire website using Squarespace.

  • Made mockups and designs for the website in Adobe XD and Figma Design

Description

During the lockdown, Element was unable to create video projects because we did not have access to the studio, cameras, and computers. As a result, a few members and I had the idea to make a podcast episode about the pandemic but we ended up keeping the podcast long-term. After finishing our first episode, we decided to submit the podcast to multiple competitions and we won a few awards.

What I Did

  • Found podcast equipment and software

  • Create ideas and find topics for episodes

  • Create transcripts of scripts for all episodes

  • Edit all episodes in Adobe Audition

Film Photography

Description

After finding my parent's old point and shoot film cameras, I immediately became interested in film and started learning as much as I could about the process. Here are some of my favorite moments captured:
